Sarah is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Scientific Health. She is a devoted wife, a loving mother of two, triathlete, ski racer, and a health enthusiast. Sarah is passionate about wellness and understanding — from the molecular to the whole-body level — about disease conditions, health opportunities, and healthcare delivery practices. She is innately curious and motivated to identify answers empirically, using data to drive decision-making. Over the past decade, Sarah has provided consulting services for a number of healthcare industry clients, ranging from a national payor and healthcare analytics, solutions, and advisory firms to regionally-focused consulting and management firms. Her engagements have been equally diverse, with roles varying from project management and guiding clinical operations and strategies to writing technical scientific reports and proposals, administering surveys, facilitating focus groups, and compiling and analyzing data to create meaningful visuals and presentations.
Sarah completed her PhD degree in Biochemistry in 2009 at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Her doctoral work focused on breast cancer cells and their exploitation of normal stromal cells in the tumor microenvironment. Prior to her graduate studies, she researched the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and rheumatoid arthritis in laboratories at Dartmouth College. Sarah has published numerous peer-reviewed papers on each of these topics. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colby College, where she majored in biology and graduated cum laude in 2003. She is also the co-founder of Science Cafe New Hampshire and continues to support the organization.
